Family Ministries is having a Fun event Feb 4th.  It is called Mystery Cafe, it will be a dinner with an evening of mystery. This drama troupe will come an put on a play where they get people in the crowd involved with the drama. It is called Death takes a Honeymoon.  It is a spin off of the TV show the Honeymooners. Cost will be $25.00 per person and there will be fliers available at the church. We are providing childcare and snacks for the kids. Evening Church Custodian Wanted: 20 hours per week, Sunday-Thursday, 7:00-10:00 PM and 5 hours on Saturday. Light cleaning and building security required. Contact Pastor Norm or Rod Sanford, 326-8763.

Fellowship Hour Volunteers: If you would like to be part of the rotation schedule for 2006 of those who prepare and serve during the fellowship time after the 10:40 AM worship, complete the section on the attendance slip or call Lois Neuerman, 467-4644.

The Women’s Thursday Morning Bible Study: will resume our study of Proverbs on Thursday, January 12, beginning with Study 10 and meeting from 9:30-11:00 AM. If you have any questions, please contact Jinny Waymire, 823-4174 or Marj Hillsman, 894-3457.

Early Childhood Training: There will be an Early Childhood training session, Tuesday, January 17^th at 6:30 PM in the Family Life Center, room 215 (gym). If you feel the call to play with and read stories to the younger youth, or if you are already on the rotation, please attend this meeting.  We will be covering some very important parts of this ministry.  There will be time to share stories of why you like to teach in this area.  Contact Kim Patrick if you are able to attend or sign up on the attendance sheet.

Calling All Girls and Adult Women!!: There is a new group starting at Mt. Comfort Church in the new year. This new group is in need of a teacher.  The Girls Club will be for any girl between the ages of 8-14.  This club uses life stories of fictional role models to teach faith and Christian living as a lifestyle.  The meetings will be once monthly.  Call Kim Patrick at 894-8965 ext 17 or e-mail christianeducation@mtcomfort.org if God is calling you to teach in this ministry.

Family Ministries Committee: is in need of volunteers. It does not require a lot of time and is a great way to meet people in the church. Contact Julie Ewing, 894-8705 or John Forcum, 326-3304; or we will be contacting you!!

First Place Weight Reduction Bible Study: The next First Place sessions will begin with a new member orientation on January 23rd, 7:30 PM, in room 211. The regular meetings will continue on Mondays at 7:30 PM (after the exercise workout session at 6:30 PM).

Son Seekers: The children from Kindergarten up to 3^rd grade need a teacher!!  This ministry meets on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:30 PM.  See Kim Patrick if you are interested in teaching.  We will continue having our meetings without a regular teacher. 

Kids Kingdom: is the group of children that depart from church service after the Children’s Time with Dr. Campbell.  This class has been extended to 4^th graders.  If your child is in 1^st - 4^th grade, you may pick them up in room 105 after the worship service has concluded.  If your child is under 6 years old, ask an usher what classroom your child should attend.
